Digital Leather

Fat Possum Records is proud to announce their newest signing, Digital Leather, also known as multi-instrumentalist Shawn Foree, - and the release of his debut album, Warm Brother.

Recorded with vintage synths and guitars in a “big-ass house” Warm Brother contains some of the most impeccably crafted lo-fi sounds you will hear - think garage-rock from the dark side, a complex, genre-bending puzzle that will work it’s way into your psyche!

Foree was raised on a Baha’i hippie commune in the wilds of southern Arizona, As soon as he could, he left and went to college to study 19th Century American Lit and other mind-expanding activities. It was there that he bought a 4-track tape recorder with his student loan money and started to mess with synthesizers and old guitars whilst honing his skills at writing darkly infectious songs: pounding drums, moody vocals, squelching vintage synths and undeniably catchy hooks.
