SCHNAPPS release their debut limited edition double A side single, 'Crossdresser'/'More To Life than Peach' through their own El Rancho Records on April 12th. The single will be available on numbered vinyl and download coupon, with the digital format being available a week earlier via all major platforms.
To support the digital release SCHNAPPS will play a free all-ages exclusive 30 minute in store show at the Apple Store on Buchanan Street, Glasgow on Thursday 8th April at 7pm.
Variously from Dornoch, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Castle Douglas, SCHNAPPS - Jnr Crawford - Sings, Leo Alabama - guitar, the risingson - bass, YHF - drums - are self proclaimed purveyors of rock n roll about crossrdressers, ice cream, happy hour, ghost limbs and run aways,
Recently SCHNAPPS werse featured as 'Ones to Watch' in NYLON magazine and listed in BBC Radio 1 host Vic Galloway's top bands for 2010. The band’s first recording 'Walk Faster' is featured on infamous Glasgow music bar/venue Nice n Sleazys current compilation CD of up and coming Glasgow based bands.
In one year SCHNAPPS have supported bands such as Vivian Girls, Wavves, Crocodiles, RTX, Male Bonding, Lord Auch, The Brute Chorus, Best Coast and toured the UK with White Denim.
Alongside a number of other shows, SCHNAPPS will play a pre-record release party on 10th April at Glasgow’s The Ranch and a free all ages record release show at Avalanche Records (34 Dundas Street, Glasgow) on 12th April (5pm).
