Arabrot
'The Brother Seed'

Årabrot is the name of a waste dump right outside the small west-Norwegian town of Haugesund. But most importantly Årabrot is the name of the local institution for troubled youth where three young Haugesunders first met and founded a band that could have only one name; Årabrot.
The Brotherseed is Årabrot’s UK-debut and a noise-rock album where frontman and mastermind Kjetil Nernes gives us a peek into the dark moral matters that gnaws through our brain arteries. Produced and recorded by Steve Albini, mastered by Bob Weston.
While orthodoxy and predictably has taken its toll on the once so exciting Norwegian Black Metal scene, a quite different breed of metal is establishing itself in the northern outpost of our civilization. At the forefront of a scene boiling with sludgy and industrial metal is Haust, Okkultokrati and Arabrot: a band that are now about to be represent for the young generation what the sum of Melvins, Throbbing Gristle and Swans was to the generation before them.
